Mati and I began our day at the zoo...yes, the long awaited Kindergarten Zoo Day. Of course, I signed up to be a chaperone, but I always make Mat go. I HATE the zoo. Mat went to Dallas. So...I was the Zoo Mom. It was far less painful than I remembered, and the kids liked the train ride best.
Then we headed to Hires for lunch with Aunt Shari, Aunt Mindy, Cousin Sally, Heather, and Jalane. Mindy and Shari gave Halle the initiatory "Oh, Cuddie, Cuddie, Cuddie" with the traditional finger tickle. And who should we run into, but Jodi's mom, Deb, and Grandpa Lowell. Aw ...good times at Hires.
To finish off a fun filled day....HALLE smiled! Her first real smile! We were all so excited, and she is just the cutest. Hurray!

What a great day you had. T memories you build with your children are those that will give them strength throughout their lives.
You are so remarkable.

It was so good to hear from you. I hope everything is going well for you. I need to come and see that new baby one of these days. Take care and keep in touch. Love ya!!!
How wonderful to see her first "real" smile! I like to think all of Ivy's smiles are real... even if they're followed by wierd bodily sounds... hehe... Love you all!
Just wanted to say Hi! I found your blog on Rammfest website... so cute! It's sad that we haven't seen you guys forever and you only live like 5 houses away from the Allreds! We'll make it a point to stop by next time, I want to see that cute little baby!!
Oh Shelly!
Thanks for your sweet comment. You're already apart of the Flegal Family. And to be honest, you were a member of it before I was. Mike regards your children the same way he regards ours. So as far as I'm concerned, skip the papers!
I've also enjoyed taking a peek at your cute family. Congrats on your newest addition. She's a doll. Now... does Tanner have a girl "waiting" for him? If so, does she know my number? I'm always here for moral support :)
